The Big Sale!

Our garage sale was last weekend and it was absolutely amazing.  We had a crazy amount of stuff that people had donated.  I'd try to list you all here and thank you but I'm sure I'd forget someone.  We had stuff from over 30 families!

Here's some pic of the piles before organization.

Jonathan's parents came the weekend before to help us organize it all and price it. It took alllllll day and we didn't even get to the clothes!

Then with the help of Peggy & Dan (my sister and brother-in-law) we moved everything over to the Morgans in the moving truck.  Peggy & Dan has just moved here from St. Louis.  We emptied their moving truck in the morning, then filled it with the garage sale stuff, then emptied it again at the Morgans' for the sale.  Needless to say it was a loooong day.

We had the sale on Friday and Saturday.  It was a huge hit!  We made more than double what I was hoping for.

Counting up the change with Josh & Sarah, our surprise guests!

Thank you so much to everyone who contributed!  You are all super amazing.  It has really taken our whole community to be able to pull this off.  Our child will see pictures of this in the future and probably think we're absolutely nuts, but thats okay!  We're just so excited to have our baby :)

An extra special thank you to those who helped during the garage sale:

Peggy & Dan- I can't believe how much you contributed when you had just moved your life here literally days before.  You're both so amazing and I can't wait for our kids to grow up together :)

Mom & Dad V- Your selflessness knows no ends.  You drove from michigan to sleep on a deflating air mattress, wake up at 5:00, be outside all day, work your little butts off, and buy us every meal.  Thank you! Thank you!  Thank you!

Mom & Dad C- You gave up 2 weekends to help us!  Sorting through the stuff was so much work and took forever.  Plus you came to the sale to help.  Mom- you rocked at selling those hotdogs :)

Aaron & Anna- Every time we needed something we would call you and you'd drop everything to help us.  Aaron- helping unload the truck (in the rain!) and set up early in the morning.  Plus you both ran over with hangers last minute and stayed to help us with last minute pricing.  You guys are selfless.

Kyle & Andrea- You two are the ones we owe the biggest thank you to.  You opened your home, parked on the street for 3 nights, donated (a lot!), gave up nights beforehand to prepare, had weirdos come to your door the night before to pre-buy stuff, baked for both days of the sale, and worked the sale!  Plus- I doubt we would've even done the sale if not for your encouragement and excitement.  Thank you sooooo much!

A Sale

Our rummage sale/ adoption fundraiser is coming up!  We've gotten a TON of stuff from so many different people.  So far we're up to 20+ families.  The support is so crazy awesome.  We made this poster to hang around town and post to craigslist and facebook.  Hopefully we'll get a good turnout and make some good mullah :)
